Jeannette R. Wiley

Jeannette’s range of experience, education, philanthropic work and the many years she has dedicated to the planning and development of the AlphaNOC Project, make her uniquely qualified to fulfil the positions of Chairperson of the Board Advisory Council of REMAS AssetCo, LLC, Managing Member of REMAS AssetCo, LLC and Corporate Treasurer of the UCS Risk and Insurance Services and the Dacent Board.

Jeannette earned a Degree in Finance and Accounting and an MBA from the University of Nevada, graduating with honours. While she was teaching finance at UNLV she undertook a substantial amount of litigation support work, consulting and financial analysis as a qualified expert.

She has been involved in the insurance and risk management industry for almost 30 years. She was Risk Manager for the major electric utility, Nevada Power/Sierra Pacific Resources, for over 12 years. She is fully certified in risk management (ARM) and management accounting (CMA). She also had the dual responsibility as Manager of Business Planning during the merger of the two major Nevada utilities and was subsequently appointed Risk Manager of the merged company.

In this capacity, Jeannette was responsible for bringing together two substantial insurance programs; for the marketing and placement of all insurance programs at the company through international and domestic insurance companies. This program included property, liability, directors and officers, coverage for excess power costs in event of a loss, and other coverage for the corporate entities.

Jeannette was responsible for property and liability loss control and for the management of multiple, multi-million-dollar property and power expense claims for both companies, recovering $50 million in one summer for multiple claims. She also served on industry committees and industry loss control task forces, and travelled internationally to represent her company to the underwriters.

She has an excellent reputation throughout the industry and a wide range of experience and skills that bring strength and experience to the new enterprise. Jeannette also graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, and has more recently earned a bachelor's degree in general ministry from Lincoln Christian University.

The advancement of education is a passion for Jeannette, and for a number of years she has been a member of Soroptimist International, an international organization that promotes education and professional pursuit by women and girls through fund-raising, hands-on projects, and funding for education and awards. The goal, through education and efforts in health and micro finance, is to create a more rewarding and economically stable life for women and girls who have been denied this benefit.

More recently she has been working on campaigns to combat human trafficking of young girls and boys, in order to rescue them and give them back their lives and hope. These interests have culminated in the formation of the White Springs Foundation, which will focus on education and Women’s Advancement initiatives.
